EMDR Trauma treatment training

Addressing, processing, and healing from trauma, particularly complex trauma, can be a demanding and lengthy journey. There is no universal approach, and trust between therapist and client plays an essential role in the therapeutic process. In my practice, I use an integrative approach, with a particular focus on Ericksonian Relational Hypnotherapy. I have long been curious about how EMDR compares with the methods I already use. This curiosity led me to pursue certification in intensive EMDR trauma treatment in the spring of 2026, and I recently found the time to reach the final examination stage. Through this training, I have recognized several similarities between EMDR and Ericksonian Relational Hypnotherapy as applied to trauma treatment. Drawing on both approaches allows me to offer personalized, integrative care tailored to each client’s unique needs and experiences.
