Trauma - complex trauma and transgenerational trauma related books

Our ability to notice, see, diagnose, analyse, and hopefully go through a process of healing trauma successfully, improved significantly. I see a couple of significant reasons why we see and address trauma now more than ever before. One reason is the fact that we share more - social media are on one hand criticized because of its powerful impact on us but at the same time, they are beneficial in making people's access to each other easier and so that sharing stories and learning from them can bring an eye opening revalations. Second reason is a consistent effort of depathologizing of mental health and normalizing talking about our mental health. Then, we also know more about traumas, their complexity, and impact on us. Self-care has been becoming a necessary part of our daily life together with our sensitivity to it, and the effort to protect ourselves from let's say stress and stressful situations. There is a lot of positive effort. There is no small or insignificant trauma. Because of the consequences of a specific one traumatic experience, a.k.a. just one exposure or a short lasting one, or of a traumatic experience lasting for years, it is always complicated, deep, and complex journey of discoveries and healing.
Recently I came accross two books:
What My Bones Know, an autobiography by Stephanie Foo and The Monster and the Mirror by K. J. Aiello. Both helpful in a way we experience trauma, journey of healing, and both of them in bringing hope that there can be a happy ending if only we are patient enough and do not give up.
