Cyberremedy: Link your Family to Health

Cyber social networks have become essential to families, making their lives worldwide and exciting as well as bitter and tough. The Cyberremedy workshop will demonstrate the bright side of cyberdimensions in families, offering a holistic cyberspace to keep families healthy. Families struggle with cyberbullying, cyber infidelity, computer addictions, cyber insecurity, or stolen identity. Contemporary families are less compact, dealing with longer distances, using and enjoying fewer family rituals, communicating and sharing less. On the other hand, cutting edge families re-establish their intra-family social network thanks to VoIP methodology. A four-generation study will show that despite long distances, everything except physical contact is possible in a virtuum. A qualitative analysis of four in-depth interviews will cover systemic and structural discourses that emerged from the interviews, introducing different perspectives on key topics in a family system, such as different roles bearers, different generation and life stage agents.
